As an East Tennessee wedding photographer, I have the joy of capturing so many unforgettable love stories—but Zack and Rikki’s wedding at Truelove Wedding Barn in Cleveland, Tennessee is one I’ll never forget. From mountain views to playful pups and a sunset that looked like a painting, their day was filled with warmth, laughter, and pure magic.
Getting Ready: Laughter, Games & Girl Time
The day began with the sweetest “girl time” in the bridal suite. Rikki and her bridesmaids kicked off the morning playing a few hilarious rounds of Cards Against Humanity—a perfect icebreaker to keep nerves away and spirits high. As a photographer, I love moments like these because they show genuine joy and friendship before the formalities begin.
A Ceremony with Dogs, Tears & Mountain Views
One of the most special touches of the day? Zack and Rikki’s beloved dogs, Banks and Harper, were part of the wedding! These two adorable pups proudly made their way down the aisle, capturing hearts (and plenty of camera time).
But the most unforgettable moment came when Rikki stepped into view, framed perfectly against the East Tennessee mountain backdrop. As she walked down the aisle, Zack couldn’t hold back his tears—a truly emotional moment that had everyone misty-eyed.
With the mountains standing tall and proud behind them, Zack and Rikki exchanged vows surrounded by emotional family members.
A Reception Full of Music, Dancing & Surprises
The celebration continued in true Tennessee style. Cousin Robbie surprised everyone by singing and playing guitar at the reception—a heartfelt performance that brought both smiles and tears to the crowd.
And then there was Dale Jr., the life of the party (and no, not the NASCAR driver—but a guest who knows how to own the dance floor!). With an audience cheering him on, Dale Jr. busted out dance moves that kept the crowd laughing and clapping well into the evening.
As the sun dipped behind the mountains, casting the barn in warm twilight, Zack and Rikki danced their first dance as husband and wife—surrounded by friends, family, and the glowing pink East Tennessee sky.
